Server Side Developer

Main Purpose: 

To develop high quality code in line with Specifications provided by the Senior Technical Architect  in support of the Dashboard Analytics Platform

You Will:

  • Develop application and/or system code against agreed specifications
  • Ensure that all code is consistently and rigorously documented with user manuals as necessary
  • Debug, Test and maintain all developed or bought in code
  • Adapt, update and modify existing code and versioning as required to keep code up to date and in line with functional developments
  • Keep up to date with developments in relevant programming languages and other related technologies

You Are:

  • A Computer Science Graduate
  • Adept with Python 2.7
  • Flask, Django and Tornado
  • Familiar with rest web services & web sockets and Map Reduce
  • Write elegant, efficient and optimised code suitable for operational deployment
  • Apply NoSQL technologies as appropriate building tools to support scalability, capacity and performance
  • Adept at learning new technologies and able to devise algorithms
  • Proficient with Linux Servers

Preferred

  • Proficient with scientific packages such as Numpy & SciPi
  • Experience with MongoDb, Cassandra, Couchbase, Elastic Search
  • AWS
Front End UI Web Developer

Main Purpose:

To create reliable, attractive and functional Web User Interfaces accessible via, desktops and mobile devices.  The developer will also be coding data visualisation accessible through the web interface.

You Will:

  • Work collaboratively as part of a Core Team
  • Utilise the flexibility of Flask or Django to control and deliver dynamic data to the UI
  • Design and implement advanced User Interface (UI) features and creative solutions to complex problems within a Bootstrap framework
  • Create and integrate Front-end and Back-end functionality, ensuring design integrity
  • Design and deliver reporting UI that address the needs of both internal and external customers using our web based platform
  • Continuously improve and enhance the user experience of the UI through JavaScript/jQuery HTML5 and CSS3
  • Provide graphical representation of large data analysis through intuitive plots, charts and visualisations using JavaScript libraries
  • Work closely with our Data Analysts and Engineering to turn research into a dynamic charts and visualisation UI
  • Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Client Services, Utility and Service Operations to understand business and client requirements for reporting

You Are:

  • A graduate in Computer Science or comparable subject or have a strong computing ability
  • Proven track record of building successful user interfaces that are flexible, scalable and meet requirements
  • Design & Develop Reporting UI for Internal and External clients
  • Familiar with Flask or Django templates
  • HTML, JavaScript, CSS3, Bootstrap

Preferred

  • D3 JavaScript library
  • Proven track record with Desktop & mobile interfaces
  • Web Sockets

Since the business is growing fast and adapting to a rapidly changing business environment we do not have a fixed annual manpower concreted in time.
